Analog Way Aquilon - Level 1 & 2 CERTIFICATION
Manufacturer Certification | 2 Days Per Level | In-Person
Overview
The Analog Way Aquilon is a powerful presentation and video-switching platform, central to large-scale general sessions, multi-screen corporate events, and high-profile productions worldwide. This two-level certification program trains operators to work with the Aquilon the way Analog Way intends: with clean signal flow, deliberate routing, and the confidence to run a complex show without second-guessing the system under pressure. Level 1 establishes the foundation; Level 2 builds the advanced workflow knowledge needed for high-stakes, large-format show environments.
This Class Is Right For You If...
Your organization owns or rents Analog Way systems and needs a trained, certified operator on staff.
You're ready to move beyond general video switching into high-end multi-screen production workflows.
You're a production manager or technical director who wants to understand what your operators are working with and why it matters on complex shows.
Career Level
Mid-Level to Operator - Recommended for technicians with foundational video signal knowledge. Level 1 is the entry point into the Analog Way ecosystem; Level 2 is for operators ready to take on complex, large-format show environments.
Level 1 - Aquilon Fundamentals
Upon completion of Level 1, participants will be able to:
Apply the video signal-flow and routing philosophy across the system.
Configure inputs, outputs, and layers for multi-screen show environments
Manage scaling, screen configuration, and display setup.
Organize show files for repeatable, reliable performance.
Identify and resolve common signal and routing issues during live production.
Level 2 - Advanced Workflows
Upon completion of Level 2, participants will be able to:
Manage EDID and create custom formats for complex display environments.
Configure Area of Interest (AOI) settings to achieve pixel-accurate screen control.
Design LED canvas rasters for real-world large-format and multi-display scenarios.
Build stable, show-ready systems that hold up under professional production pressure.
Troubleshoot format conflicts and signal issues quickly in live environments.
A Day in Class
Both levels are hands-on from the first hour. Participants work directly on Aquilon hardware, progressing through structured exercises designed to mirror real-world show scenarios. Every project is reviewed by the instructor, with direct feedback on routing decisions, file organization, and troubleshooting approach. You will not just watch; you will build, break, and fix until the workflow is yours.
Certification & Recognition
Upon successful completion, participants receive the Analog Way Aquilon Operator Certification, issued directly by Analog Way. This credential is recognized by production companies, rental houses, and event technology clients as verified operator competency on one of the industry's most widely deployed high-end presentation platforms.
Reducing Risk
Aquilon systems appear on complex, high-visibility shows where operator error has real consequences - missed cues, signal failures, and format mismatches in front of hundreds or thousands of people. A certified operator brings verified system knowledge that reduces pre-show setup time, minimizes on-site risk, and meets the technical standards clients expect when booking large-format AV support.
Instructor
Omar Colom - Analog Way Certified Trainer, Operator, and AVE lead instructor. Omar has operated Analog Way systems across a wide range of corporate and live-event productions and brings field-tested workflow knowledge to every class session.
