Christopher “Boddie” Brown from AV Educate, leading the way in IT for AV

Ed has been with AV Educate since AV Tech Talks and now serves as Vice President and CFO. With over five years of commitment to the organization, he plays a key role in strategic planning, financial oversight, and community engagement. As a Master Dante Certified audio engineer and experienced instructor, Ed also leads many of our audio training initiatives, helping to shape the next generation of AV professionals.

Chris “BODDIE” BROWN

Chris has been a staple to the AVE Fam since the very beginning. In 2020, he was an active contributor and co-host in AV Educate's “AV Tech Talks.” Today, he is our go-to guru on all things relating to IT and Networking and is a plethora of knowledge in video operation for both live and virtually streamed events. If you ever get a chance, ask him about his success as a Twitch streamer, in addition to his career as a killer V1. We're so glad to have him as a part of the AV Educate team!

Operations Manager

Rose plays a critical role in ensuring AV Educate runs smoothly behind the scenes. She manages the day-to-day operations that keep our training programs on track, from coordinating logistics and class materials to making sure students receive timely communications and support.

Her strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to efficiency help guarantee that every class runs seamlessly. By supporting both instructors and students, Rose helps maintain the high standards our community expects.

Her dedication and reliability allow AV Educate to continue fulfilling its mission to Equip, Enable, and Empower AV professionals across the industry.

scott stafford

Resource & Data Archivist

Scott Stafford, owner of Stafford Sound, Inc. in Trabuco Canyon, California, began his audio engineering career as a teenager at Saddleback Church, progressing from volunteer to part-time staff. He gained expertise in analog and digital consoles, later working at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure with the Walt Disney Company. Transitioning to freelance, Scott has contributed to diverse projects, including corporate events, festivals, gaming conventions, and presidential media stops. Committed to growth, he is expanding his skills in RF coordination and pursuing certifications like CompTIA Network+ and QSYS Level 1.

ALYSSA Freire

Director of Program Management

Alyssa serves as Director of Program Management at AV Educate, where she oversees a diverse portfolio of internal strategic initiatives. She leads cross-functional project planning and implements systems that enhance operational efficiency. Her work includes developing and refining SOPs, organizing backlogged projects, and ensuring alignment across teams to keep programs moving forward with clarity and consistency.

In addition to program oversight, Alyssa manages volunteer engagement, aligning individual strengths with organizational goals to support high-impact outcomes. Her ability to turn strategic vision into executable plans directly supports AV Educate’s mission to Equip, Enable, and Empower the AV industry beyond the classroom.
