Panasonic Kairos Certification
Manufacturer Certification | 2 Days | In-Person
Overview
The Panasonic Kairos is a software-defined, IP-based live production platform that combines video switching, media playback, audio integration, and advanced signal routing, including Dante, NDI, and ST 2110, into a single, highly flexible system. This certification program trains participants to understand the platform at a system level: not just which buttons to press, but why the system works the way it does, and how to build show files that are stable, organized, and recoverable when something does not go as planned.
This Class Is Right For You If...
You're a video tech or systems engineer building competency on next-generation IP production platforms.
Your organization is transitioning toward IP-based workflows and needs trained operators ahead of the shift.
You want a single certification that spans multiple disciplines: switching, playback, camera tools, and audio integration within one platform.
You're a technical director or engineer responsible for recommending, deploying, or supporting production systems.
Career Level
Operator to Engineer: Best suited for technicians with existing video and signal flow knowledge who are ready to work with advanced, multi-function production systems. Some familiarity with IP networking concepts is beneficial.
What You'll Learn
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
Navigate the Kairos platform architecture and apply IP production fundamentals in a live setting.
Configure surfaces, sources, and destinations for professional show environments
Execute transitions, keys, and live switching operations with precision.
Build organized, show-ready files structured for repeatable and reliable performance.
Integrate Dante, NDI, and ST 2110 signals within the Kairos environment.
Utilize Kairos camera shading and monitoring tools.
Route media playback and manage audio within the platform
Troubleshoot IP signal issues in live production contexts
A Day in Class
Each student works on a dedicated Kairos system and PC, moving through real-world show scenarios that leverage the platform's multi-function capabilities. Instructor-led segments establish the system logic; hands-on project work reinforces it. Instructors review each participant's configuration and workflow decisions directly, providing feedback on file structure, signal routing, and show-day readiness. Because Kairos touches multiple production disciplines, exercises are designed to reflect the interconnected nature of real production environments.
Certification & Recognition
Upon successful completion, participants receive the Panasonic Kairos Certification, issued by Panasonic. As IP production workflows expand across corporate AV, broadcast, and live event markets, this credential puts certified operators and engineers at the forefront of a major industry shift.
Reducing Risk
IP-based production systems introduce complexity and new categories of failure that operators trained exclusively on traditional SDI workflows may be ill-equipped to handle. Kairos-certified operators bring system-level knowledge to reliably configure, troubleshoot effectively, and deliver shows that hold together under real production pressure.
Instructors
Michael Espinel is a Panasonic Certified trainer with a live-event and broadcast background, staying up to date on the latest technology for corporate AV.
