GIGRent + AV Educate = Official Barco Training

AV Educate Announces Official Barco Encore 3 Training in Partnership with GIGRent

AV Educate is proud to announce our newest manufacturer backed training partnership with Barco, focused on Encore 3 next generation event control platform. This initiative is delivered in partnership with GIGRent, bringing together manufacturer authorization, real-world inventory, and field-tested instruction.

This collaboration represents a major step forward in our mission to equip, enable, and empower the AV workforce with access to the tools and the knowledge driving modern live events.

Encore 3 isn’t just another processor. It’s a control ecosystem built for the realities of today’s shows. And now, AV Educate is authorized to teach it the way it’s actually used in the field.

Why Encore 3?

Encore 3 was designed to bridge the gap between traditional screen management and next-generation event control. It combines powerful processing, flexible system design, and modern workflows into a single platform that scales from corporate ballrooms to complex, multi-surface productions.

As Encore 3 adoption accelerates across the industry, one thing becomes clear: This is not gear you “figure out on show day.”

Encore 3 demands intentional training, training that reflects real crews, real timelines, and real failure points. That’s exactly where AV Educate comes in.

A Partnership Built on Real World Training

This Barco partnership is not theoretical and it’s not demo-based.

AV Educate, Barco, and GIGRent have aligned to deliver an official Encore 3 training and certification pathwaydesigned specifically for working professionals.

This partnership includes:

  • Manufacturer-approved curriculum from Barco

  • Authorized trainers actively operating Encore systems in live environments

  • Hands-on classes using real Encore 3 hardware

  • Training environments built around show-based workflows

  • Official recognition aligned with Barco standards

No slide-only learning. No “sales disguised as education.”
This is operational training, built for the realities of the industry.

Powered by GIGRent: Training on Real Inventory

Our partnership with GIGRent ensures that Encore 3 training happens on real, production-ready systems—not simulated environments or watered-down demos.

GIGRent’s role is critical:
they provide access to properly configured Encore 3 inventory, allowing students to train on the same systems they’ll encounter on actual shows.

This partnership reinforces a core AV Educate principle:
you don’t learn control systems by watching—you learn by driving them.

What You’ll Learn in Encore 3 Training

Encore 3 training through AV Educate focuses on building confident operators who understand both the how and the whybehind system decisions.

Training includes:

  • Encore 3 system architecture and platform overview

  • Input, output, and destination-based workflows

  • Canvas management and screen mapping strategies

  • Layering, transitions, and show control concepts

  • Show setup, system checks, and troubleshooting

  • Real-world use cases drawn directly from live events

Students leave with more than button knowledge—they leave understanding system logic, signal intent, and operational responsibility.

Education First, Always

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), AV Educate maintains a clear separation between education and sales.
Our classrooms remain focused on skill development, system understanding, and operator confidence.

Partnerships with manufacturers and rental partners exist to support learning, not influence it.

That separation is intentional and it’s foundational to everything we do.
