HANDS-ON CAMERA SHADING TECHNIQUES FOR LIVE PRODUCTION

CLASS OVERVIEW

This one-day hands-on training is designed for AV professionals looking to develop a solid foundation in camera shading. Students will learn how to properly set up a camera, read and interpret waveform monitors, and balance multiple cameras using professional shading techniques.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • Waveform Monitors & Scopes – Understanding IRE levels and exposure control

  • RGB Parade & Vectorscope – Fine-tuning color accuracy for consistency

  • White Balancing Techniques – Achieving uniform color across multiple cameras

  • Shading Without Proper Tools – Adapting to real-world production challenges

False Color Discussion – Connecting IRE levels to False Color for better exposure understanding
