DANTE: TROUBLESHOOTING & PRACTICAL WORKFLOWS

SOLVE PROBLEMS. STREAMLINE WORKFLOWS. MASTER THE SYSTEM.

Dante is the most popular AV over IP (AVoIP) protocol among live events and broadcast professionals because of its outstanding reliability, flexibility, and the ability to use off-the-shelf networking equipment. Countless users worldwide deploy Dante flawlessly every day—from small houses of worship, to broadcast trucks at sporting events, to the largest major concerts.

But what happens if something isn’t working as expected? And how do you decide the best way to configure your equipment?

Dante Troubleshooting and Practical Workflows was developed by Ed Willock to help answer both those questions.

During this 8-hour, fully hands-on class you will build a Dante network from the ground up through a series of exercises that demonstrate how to identify, diagnose, and resolve common issues encountered in the field. We’ll also dive into a variety of practical Dante workflows for live event production—including the workflow Ed has refined over hundreds of shows. And of course, there will be time for Q&A and testing your own workflow ideas.

No matter where you are on your Dante journey, this class is right for you. Some basic knowledge of Dante is recommended, but beginners won’t be left behind since every exercise is taken step-by-step. Ed recommends that everyone take the official Dante training (especially Levels 1 & 2) to learn how Dante works and basic networking principles.

What sets this class apart is the hands-on experience troubleshooting real-world issues in a zero-pressure environment—instead of trying to figure it out during a live show with a looming deadline. You’ll walk away with more knowledge, experience, and confidence to design, deploy, and troubleshoot Dante networks in the field.
