This class teaches breakout techs the skills needed to work as an audio assist in a General Session (GS) environment while building a foundation for moving into an A1 role. Through hands-on training with industry-standard gear, you’ll learn audio networking, wireless coordination, intercom setup, and live mixing. This course will help you step into GS audio with confidence and enhance your skills as a breakout tech.

What You’ll Learn:

• Signal Flow & System Setup – Deploy and troubleshoot a Yamaha QL-series console with Dante integration.

• Dante Networking – Configure and manage audio networking for a live environment.

• Wireless Audio – Set up and coordinate frequencies for Shure Axient Digital or ULX-D systems.

• PA System Optimization – Work with speakers, amps, and DSP settings for multiple zones.

• Intercom Systems – Deploy and manage Clear-Com and RTS wired/wireless comms, including Arcadia and FreeSpeak II.

• Live Recording & Playback – Interface with video systems using HyperDeck, Ki Pro, or similar recorders.

• Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve common show site issues.
